We, Johan
and Jeannette Lukasse, have a special calling to work with children in need.
From 1984 to 2021 we lived in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. There we worked with
Youth with a Mission and, together with our team, mostly young missionaries, we
started seven different shelters for children in need and four community
centers in slums. Its leadership has now been transferred to Brazilian staff.
Children at Risk School.
To train our own team at the time, and to give more knowledge about working with children in need, we developed a quarterly full-time course in collaboration with the University of the Nations: the “Children at Risk” School. This school is taught every year in Belo Horizonte and in some other locations.
We are now mainly committed to multiplying this “Children at Risk” School to other places and countries. Since 2020, since the Corona, we have been giving online seminars about working with children in need. Our students are often missionaries working with the poorest children.
